Ruahine Maeva W3 Waka

Maeva means 'welcome' in Tahitian and we think that's a pretty fitting description for this waka. It was designed and formerly made by Frederic Esposito from Maui Kanu. Ruahine has recently purchased this design from Fred as we have recognised how fast the sport of waka ama is growing in New Zealand and the need for the larger waka within clubs and community organisations.

Designed to have the best compromise of balance and speed, the Maeva can have either an open cockpit or a deck. It has a fine cutting bow, wide mid section, and stabile hull. This means it's ideal for people of all ages and ability levels.

Comes standard with:

- A white hull and your choice of deck and gunnel. For an extra charge we can custom colour the entire waka to whatever you desire. Please enquire if you have something specific in mind.
- 2 x wooden kiato
- 1 x custom coloured ama
- Open cockpit
