Our Huntress Day Trip is designed for wāhine who already have some freediving experience and are ready to take the next step into the world of spearfishing and gathering kai moana. This experience is all about learning the foundations, building confidence, and connecting deeply with the ocean — and yourself.

We’ll start the day topside, covering spearfishing basics and etiquette, before hitting the water to practise key skills and try your luck at catching a fish, collecting kina, or spotting a cray. With our supportive instructors guiding you every step of the way, you’ll learn to hunt and gather ethically, safely, and sustainably.

Our focus isn’t just on filling your catch bag — it’s on giving you the knowledge, skills, and mindset to continue your journey toward kai sovereignty. And if we do manage to snag some kaimoana, that’s just the salty bonus
