Give your students the confidence and skills to take their science learning to the next level! Aligned with the New Zealand Science Curriculum, the Year 8 sciPAD combines clear explanations, colourful illustrations and engaging activities to make science accessible and enjoyable. Carefully scaffolded questions, practical investigations and real-world examples deepen scientific understanding, develop critical thinking and encourage independent learning. This easy-to-use, write-on workbook supports learners of all abilities while building strong foundations for success in Year 9 and beyond.

Every copy of Big Ideas Year 8 also includes free access to sciPAD Online. The online platform adds interactive lessons, videos, quizzes, game-based activities and progress tracking, giving students more ways to engage with their learning in class and at home.

Together, the workbook and sciPAD Online form a complete learning system for Year 10 science. Teachers get a ready-to-use resource aligned to the new curriculum, while students get the structure, support and practice they need to move confidently towards senior science.
