Species: Pieris Japonica

Description: The Japanese Pieris is known for its cascading clusters of delicate, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in spring. After flowering, a flush of new growth arrives in a show of fiery orange and green.

Age: 4 years

Placement: Outside - Part Shade (Can be displayed indoors for short periods of time)

Our Artisan Range

A Labour of Love

We begin by hand-moulding clay to make a unique pot and saucer. The pair are set aside to dry for days before they're fired in our kiln at high temperatures. Each pot is then hand glazed and fired in our kiln again at over 1200 degrees. The firing and cooling process takes approximately 24 hours for each kiln run. When our pot is finally ready, we select a suitable bonsai tree to place into it. The final touch is piece of lush moss that we propagate ourselves.
