When silicon is available, plants will incorporate it into their cell walls, strengthening them and forming a protective barrier that shields their internal structures from environmental stress. GT Silica delivers silicon, typically found only in natural soil, along with elevated levels of potassium to fortify cell walls, promoting growth and resilience. This enhanced barrier improves the plant's resistance to insects, fungi, and disease, while the increased rigidity of the cell walls boosts tolerance to drought, heat, frost, and water stress.

Application Instructions for GT Silica

Add 3 mL to 5 litres of water then submerge your bonsai tree in the bucket of water. Repeat 1 week later if stressful conditions persist. You do not need to use GT continuously.

Combine GT Silica with McGregor's Ornamental Fertiliser to ensure total bonsai health. While McGregor's Ornamental and Flower supply most nutrients, GT Silica contains silicone and extra potassium to strengthen plant cell walls. Use McGregor's Ornamental weekly/bi-weekly, but use GT Silica in times of stress such as frost, heatwaves, disease, or during pest infestations.
