The enchanting by Claude Monet was painted in the summer of 1880 and has been reinvented as an exhibition motif. Monet painted this idyllic view from an island in the Seine River, with the towering poplars obscuring the view of the water. This scene was well known to the artist - it was of a beautiful winding footpath that traversed the poppy field towards to the church tower in Monet's home village.
