The Water Lily Pond

The exquisite The Water Lily Pond by Claude Monet was painted in 1899 and we have reinvented this original as a gallery motif. Monet was a passionate horticulturist and purchased this property in Giverny, France in 1893, where he built this wooden footbridge over the pond and created a captivating water-lily garden. The composition of the weeping willows, the vegetation and delicate, flowering lilies with the footbridge combine to create a charming, peaceful scene. Monet once wrote "I saw, all of a sudden, that my pond had become enchanted..Since then, I have had no other model."
