Salomon QST Blank 2026

With a playful shape and stout build, the Salomon QST Blank blurs the world between freeride and powder. You can be creative and playful on these skis or dial it up a notch and really rip some high speed turns in various conditions and terrain.

Built for powder fans and strong skiers looking to maximize their day on the hill, the Salomon QST Blank is an ideal choice.

Why we like it:
The blend of build and shape is second to none when it comes to deeper snow skiing. The most surprising part of the Blank, though, is how well it turns and carves in a non-powder situation. Skis of this width are simply not supposed to turn like this, but the Blank does, and that’s why we love it. It’s also interesting to be on a powder and freeride oriented ski with such a short radius, but somehow it works. We still get the 112 mm underfoot width, but the turn shape has been lengthened to promote more aggressive and fall line skiing. They’re still somewhat hefty at 2070 grams per ski in the 186, but that’s not as heavy as some other skis in this range.

Who it's for:
Strong and aggressive skiers will love the capabilities of the Blank in deep, rough, broken, and smooth snow. You have a thirst for adventure and like to push the limits. You spend most of your time in search of deeper snow and don’t mind having to travel a bit to find it.

Highlights:
The carving capability is a highlight, which is weird because the skis are so excellent in powder. As such, versatility is a key component of this ski. They’re mobile in the trees and technical zones due to the shorter radius, but you can still open it up and let it rip due to the strong construction featuring a poplar wood core and cork in the tips and tails. Built with a full poplar wood core, new cork damplifier laminates, and basalt and fiberglass layers for energy, this ski is built to rip with unexpected pop and zest.
