Desert Heart

Desert Heart is one of New Zealand’s distinguished boutique vineyards on the iconic Felton Rd, Bannockburn, Central Otago. Desert Heart’s award winning wines are grown on our own Felton Road Vineyards, which display the bright fruit characteristics of classical Pinot Noir. The name Desert Heart was chosen to pay tribute to the land, because Pinot Noir, more than any other grape reflects where it is grown, and to the historical reference to the name of Bannockburn, “Heart of the Desert", from the gold rush era and due to its atypical climatic conditions.

Tasting Notes

Attractive and intriguing bouquet with plenty of pinosity, oak, plum and cherry fruits. Dry with a slightly firm texture and tannins with a chalky and coarse texture. Medium acidity with flavours that match the nose. Totally drinkable and likely best with food. Balanced, well made and ready.
