Imperata cylindrica rubra - Springvale Garden Centre

Known as Japanese blood grass, the Imperata is an upright grower with slender leaves. It is a fairly slow growing grass that makes a fine addition to a mixed border. The leaves emerge as mid-green and quickly become deep scarlet almost to the base. Best results in moist, rich soil.
