GOLD VERMEIL QUALITY

Gold Vermeil (ver-may) is a super thick layer of 18k gold over solid sterling silver. 2.5 microns of plating to be exact - a much, much thicker layer of gold in comparison to most regular gold plated jewellery (which is only 0.5 microns, often over brass or stainless steel).
