Superfoodies’ Organic Raw Maca Powder is made from the maca root, found to contain unique alkaloids known to stimulate the hypothalamus and pituitary glands which in turn improve the overall functioning of the endocrine system responsible for balancing hormones. Maca is revered as an adaptogen, helping to support the body’s ability to adapt to stress, and has long been used for stamina libido and to combat fatigue. In traditional native medicine, herbalists have used Maca to regulate menopausal symptoms. Grown at altitude in Peru’s Andean region, this versatile powder has a nutty vanilla taste which is very appealing in smoothies, yoghurt, ice-creams and baking.
