We are very often asked to explain why choose lump charcoal vs. briquettes. Lump charcoal burns hotter and cleaner than briquettes, the heat can be variable, but due to the LotusGrill fan system, you can manage your lump charcoal burn. A briquette is compressed and often mixed with foul chemicals, which we do not recommend experiencing over a BBQ.
