How to Create a Paper Painting Panel
This 13 step tutorial shows you how to create a paper painting panel.
What you will need:
- Piece of Bainbridge 2 ply Hot Press Illustration Board
- Coloured paper e.g. Canson Mi-Tientes, Daler-Rowney Murano or similar
- Double Back Adhesive
- Liquitex Clear Gesso
- Craft Knife
- Brayer
- Foam Roller
1. Cut a piece of 2 ply Hot Press Illustration board to a finished size.
2. Cut a piece of double back adhesive slightly larger than your illustration board.
3. Peel off one side of adhesive.
4. Place illustration board face down on the adhesive...
5. Turn over and roll with brayer..
6. Trim excess adhesive.
7. Peel off the other side of the adhesive.
8. Place down on backside of paper.
9. Trim excess paper.
10. Run a brayer over front of panel.
11. Pour Liquitex Clear Gesso on top of paper panel.
12. Roll gesso over entire front of panel.
13. Let dry completely before painting.
