LightRider Bitless Bridle - Rope Performer
Great deal - includes reins, chinstrap cover, and a breakaway!
- Ideal for training, trail riding, endurance/competitive trail, and driving.
- Also suitable for groundwork and tying solid like a regular rope halter (with a lead rope - or the reins with clips removed).
- Recommended for strong horses or those in the early stages of education.
- This bitless bridle has stainless steel fittings and additional noseband padding (anti gall material) to offer extra comfort and no rubbing.
The LightRider Performer is best suited for situations where the horse wears the bridle for longer periods, or when rein contact is maintained such as in endurance, dressage, eventing, driving, or jumping.
Unique Chinstrap: The soft webbing chin strap keeps the noseband from twisting to give clear and direct communication.
This means you can use lighter rein aids. When rein pressure is applied the chinstrap becomes snug but does not over-tighten due to the type of webbing used.
90% of the pressure is on top of the nose, and the horse can self-release the chinstrap easily for eating, yawning,.
The bridle can also be used as a straight side-pull by clipping the chinstrap and noseband rings together (recommended to start with if your horse hasn't experienced a chinstrap before). The advantages of each breakaway are:
- Neoprene: washable, vegan, not as strong as leather.
- Leather: stronger than neoprene, can be written on (to identify horse/owner)
We offer a FREE email photo consultation to check the bridle fit and sizing for your horse within the 30 day return period (from date of receiving). When emailing photos, please reduce the size if possible.
To check the correct size for a LightRider Bitless Bridle, please take the following measurements using a piece of string or flexible tape:
1 – Around the nose (3-4 fingers below the cheekbones where a cavesson sits above the nostril cavities – as shown at 1a).
2 – Over the poll (head) from and to each side of the noseband.
You can use your horse's halter noseband as a guide, remembering the bridle may sit a little lower than a halter.
