Phyllostachys sulphurum

Phyllostachys sulphurea is a large, decorative bamboo prized for its striking golden-yellow culms, which can reach up to 40mm in diameter.

Its vibrant colour and elegant form make it a popular feature plant in gardens and containers, the latter also helping to control its spreading habit. This hardy, evergreen bamboo prefers a sunny position with moist, well-drained soil.
