Stephanotis Floribunda
Stephanotis floribunda also known as Madagascar Jasmine, is an elegant evergreen climber prized for its glossy, leathery oval leaves and clusters of highly fragrant, tubular white flowers that appear during the summer months. Its sweet perfume and attractive form make it a favourite for indoor growing and special occasions, including bridal bouquets.
This woody vine is best grown indoors or in a conservatory in a bright, well-lit position out of direct sun. Provide a trellis or stake for support as the plant will climb steadily to reach a height of 3–5 metres under ideal conditions.
Water regularly during the growing season, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. In winter keep drier and avoid cold drafts. Frost tender, so protect from temperatures below 10°C.
A beautiful and rewarding plant for experienced indoor gardeners or those looking for a show stopping flowering vine.
