Oxalis purpurea Alba
a charming bulbous perennial that forms a neat, low-growing mound of light green, shamrock-shaped foliage. During winter, it produces a lovely display of pure white flowers that contrast beautifully with the foliage, adding brightness to the garden in the cooler months.
The flowers open and close in response to sunlight, making a sunny position essential for best performance. This variety is well suited to rockeries, borders or containers where its compact form and seasonal flowering can be appreciated.
It requires free draining soil and is summer dormant, naturally retreating in the warmer months before returning in autumn. Hardy and easy to grow, an excellent addition to gardens seeking low maintenance winter colour.
