Mac's Mud - Studio White - 10kg

A smooth vitreous (Cone 6) clay that fires to an off-white colour. Made from six different clays to provide a range of particle sizes, this imparts excellent plasticity, workability and greenware strength. A versatile clay that is suitable for throwing all sorts of functional forms including tableware.

Please use cones to verify your firings. Don't rely on kiln controllers only.

- 100 mesh

- Glaze up to cone 8

- Shrinkage: 6% wet to dry, 9% at 1150º, 10% at 1180º, 11% at 1220º

- Water absorption: 4% at 1150º, 3% at 1180º
