Allow 4.8w for every metre and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 24w, so a 30w 12v driver is the right size. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and feed each one separately. This strip is not dimmable. At 4.8w per metre this strip runs cool, but an aluminium profile still gives it the best protection and the longest life. Choose a profile at least 11mm wide inside to suit the 10mm strip. Reseal every cut end with an end cap and silicone to keep the IP67 rating, and make any joins in wet areas inside a waterproof connector or junction box.
