- Michelle Huizinga Michelle Huizinga works from her studio in the Waitākere Ranges. Her exquisite sculptural pieces reflect the colours and earth tones of her environment.

This series is a little exploration into Michele's heritage and the connection to the sea in the Netherlands. It was common for di ff erent villages to have their own unique pattern of knitting created by the women for the sailors to wear. Inspired by that idea, Micehele wanted to create patterns over her own woven vessels that would connect the pieces but also give each one its own identity.
