Tā Moko
Tā Moko - traditional tattooing, Māori tattooing designs on the face or body done under traditional protocols. This design is lifted from a taonga tuku iho (heirloom) that has been in my whānau for generations. The original of that thou (mark/symbol) retains mana (essence/authority) that resides patiently within the mauri (life principle) of the Whenua (land).
