Crafted by Wood Sculptor Shannon Turuwhenua, Te Hoia is a striking work of art made from Kauri wood and coated with danish oil. Designed as a guard for its surroundings, this simple yet impactful piece showcases the natural grain of the wood. Shannon is a member of a Whanau based collective, Past Present Future, and draws inspiration from everyday objects to create unique pieces from native and exotic timbers. All timber used is either reclaimed or recycled, making each handcrafted piece truly one-of-a-kind.
