Tim is a highly skilled carver based in the Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland area of Aotearoa / New Zealand. Tekoteko is a carving of a human figure, either complete or just a head, which is either on its own or mounted to the end of a traditional whare. When found on a Marae, they typically represent an influential ancestor or tipuna to the Hapu or Iwi.
