‘Vitamin E’ is actually a collection of 8 naturally occurring molecules or ‘vitamers’: the alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta tocopherols and the alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta- tocotrienols. The tocotrienols are structurally similar to the tocopherols but provide more potent antioxidant power and are recognised for supporting healthy in ways that the tocopherols do not.
