Saccharomyces boulardii is a probiotic yeast that has been clinically studied for its ability to increase the production of secretory IgA (sIgA), a first-line defensive immunoglobin of the gastrointestinal tract. Produced in mucosal cells and found in the saliva, tears, breast milk and intestinal lining, sIgA helps prevent bacterial and viral pathogens and toxins from attaching to and penetrating the epithelial lining of mucosal surfaces.
In addition to enhancing immune function in the gut, this yeast species also supports the growth of beneficial intestinal flora, and it can also be helpful for mitigating occasional diarrhoea associated with travelling or antibiotic use. It has also been studied for its effects in gastrointestinal conditions helping to slow down gut motility and enhance digestive comfort and has been found to play a vital role in maintaining the health of the gut barrier function. Saccharomyces boulardii (CNCM I-3799) 250 mg. Other Ingredients: Beet fibre, calcium laurate, delayed release capsule (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, pectin, water), Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs).
Does not contain: Gluten, Dairy, Soy, Artificial Colours or Flavours. Suggested Use Recommended intake
Adults: Take 1 capsule one to three times daily between meals or as recommended by your health-care practitioner.
It is not recommended to remove the powder from the capsule, as the capsule is inherent to the products intended delivery mechanism.
