Please be mindful that although these treats are known to be safe, some still need to be given in moderation, e.g. bee pollen - a pinch once a week. Hawthorn berries, just one per week. Other treats can be offered 2-3 times per week, or one small treat daily. Apple sticks, rosehips and rose petals are unlimited.

Additionally, chinchilla kits should not be given treats until they are 6 months old. From 6 months onwards they can have rosehips and rose petals, as well as apple sticks. When they are over 12 months old they can have all the other treats.
