The last time I tried UGLYFACE® proteins they were gritty and chalky, is this the same?
The overwhelming feedback we got from our previous protein formulation was that the flavour was amazing, the protein-per-serve was super impressive, but the texture let it down. We heard anything from "it's manageable but not pleasant" all the way through to "it felt like I was drinking liquid sandpaper". Oopsies.
We had tried to push the limit on how much protein we could fit per serve and it didn't pay off, so on this formulation we eased back on the protein (from 29g to 27g), swapped to sunflower-lecithinated proteins, and then added Velositol® which more than compensates for the 2g reduction in protein!
What is Velositol®?

How does Velositol® work?

Why are there more carbs in this Isolate than others?
As the base of Velositol®is amylopectin starch, which is a carbohydrate, this contributes to the total carb load of the product. It's important to factor this in to your macros if you're on a very strict diet, however realistically 2g of carbs per serve is so low that it would be unlikely to impact much of anything, it even fits well within the carb range for those on keto diets.
