'Jurassic' Red - 2023

Jurassic - Red (Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer) - 13.0% - Organic - Nelson - 2023
Winemaking: Pinot Noir Clones 777 (36%), 5 (32%) and 10/5 (18%) de-stemmed and fermented separately on skins for 4-9 days. 777 (10%) went through carbonic maceration for 6 days and the Gewurztraminer (4%) was skin-fermented for 5-days. All were fermented separately and aged in a mixture of old puncheons and stainless steel before being blended.
Tasting Notes: A light-medium bodied red showing Doris plum and blueberry with a savoury tomato stalk and tobacco spice. Fleshy and fruity with supple tannin. A lovely, well-rounded red for everyday drinking.
