Dog Point Section 94 Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Barrel-fermented Sauvignon are often reserved for Sauvignon aficionados… and if you want a good one – then go for Section 94. While past vintages have benefited from bottle age or a couple of hours in a decanter the 2016 is stunning and very approachable right from the first glass. This release is harmonious already, beautifully complex but with lots of fruit showing through on top of the oak, smoke, and wild ferment aromas.
Smells Yellow tree fruits, cedary oak, a whiff of flint and dried herbs like oregano and perhaps cardamom.
