La Monella, organic white blend, 2017, Marlborough

Tasting Notes:

The wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc (70%), Chardonnay (20%) and Semillion (10%) pressings "svintura" in Italian - the juice that comes out from the press is denser, more 'soldsey", has more contact with the skins, more flavour. 100% organic. pale straw in colour and slightly hazy in appearance this wine shows lifted notes of wild fennel interlaced with subtle elderflower aromas. The palate shows incredible balance with layers of texture yet it has poise and is fine boned finishing lashings of grapefruit acidity leaves you wanted for more.
