Mawhitipana Ridge Estate Ridge Syrah 2021

A deepenig purple and ruby core with a purple rim, very bright appearance. Aromas of blue fruits and purple flowers, sweet doris plums and milk chcolate, black currant and toasted wood scents. Baking spices and a red peppercorn note add complexity. Dry, taut and textured on the palate with flavours of dark berries and plums, baked raspberry and peppery spices. Firm tannins and acid set a strong foundation with fruit flavours weaving through. Well made, youthful and needing some cellar time with best drinking from 2025 through 2032.
