Domaine Rene Muré Orchidées Sauvages Gewurztraminer 2022

The Muré Gewürztraminer Orchidées Sauvages takes its name from the number of wild orchids that thrive in the mediterranean micro-climate located in the dry hills of Rouffach to the south of Alsace. The organically grown Gewürztraminer grape thrives in this sunny terroir and is refreshed by night-winds coming down from the Grand Ballon and Petit Ballon, resulting in a fruity, yet elegant wine.

Rich, creamy and succulent, this seductive aromatic wine has complex floral aromas that are not a jot overdone. Very pure, straight finish, in spite of the unmistakable touch of sweetness. Hints of spice, honey and ginger mingle in this subtle, medium-bodied white. Well-cut acidity forms a lively frame for the notes of melon, quince, quinine and candied ginger.
