Sports short-shifter kit - Porsche 986 Boxster, 996, 987 Boxster/Cayman, 997

Over time the crisp shift mechanism in your 6-speed manual Porsche will loosen up: bushings wear, cables stretch in their housings - play and slop will develop.

You can fit a standard Porsche shifter, spring for the (very expensive) factory short-shift kit (as fitted to the GT3), or install a high-quality aftermarket sports shift kit (like this one..).

This bolt-in short shifter is precision engineered from stainless steel and CNC d anodised aluminium, and includes new bushings and clips. All factory shift knobs (and most replacement aftermarket ones) are a direct fitment.

The result: a shorter, tighter gearshift, free of slop, and providing a more direct connection between you and your Porsche.

Fitment is well within the capabilities of the average DIYer - instructions can be provided if necessary (and there is a myriad of YouTube tutorials out there).
