La Chenade Lalande De Pomerol 2021 750ml

Mostly Merlot from sandier soils, it offers bright red fruit aromatics with a Cabernet Franc background of darker fruit and structure. Its Lalande-de-Pomerol location is only a kilometre from its famous Pomerol parent estate, Chateau L’Eglise Clinet, from which it gets second-fill barrels.

TASTING NOTES

The 2021 La Chenade is soft, supple and super-expressive right out of the gate. Silky tannins wrap around a core of red cherry fruit, plum, mocha, spice and new leather, with pretty floral and savory top notes that come alive with a bit of time in the glass.
