This pattern calls for a 12 ply yarn. We recommend choosing two contrasting colours from our range of 12 ply yarns available at The Wool Shop — ask us in store or get in touch for a suggestion to suit your colour preference.

- Main Colour (M): 8 × 50g balls
- Contrast Colour (C): 6 × 50g balls

Quantities are approximate and may vary between knitters. Check ball bands to ensure all yarn is from the same dye lot. Needles & Extras

- 1 pair 5.50 mm (UK 5) knitting needles, or size needed to achieve correct tension
- Piece of cardboard or pom pon maker
- Wool needle for finishing Tension

19 sts and 23 rows to 10 cm over double moss stitch using 5.50 mm needles.

To check your tension, cast on 29 sts and work 34 rows in double moss stitch, then cast off loosely. If you have fewer stitches to 10 cm, use smaller needles; if more stitches, use larger needles. Correct tension is essential for achieving the finished measurements.
