Banfi Excelsus Toscana IGT 2011

Intense ruby red and complex aromas coming from both the Merlot and Cab Sauv grapes makes this wine intriguing from the get-go. It's uniquely dense with wood layered in the wine. Overall it's powerful and muscular, and will no doubt benefit from a few more years in the cellar.
