Ramon Jané Baudili Negre 2021

Crafted by Ramon Jané in the Penedès region, Baudili Negre 2021 is a blend designed to merge tradition and innovation. The blend: 40 % Cabernet-Sauvignon, 39 % Xarel·lo, and 21 % Parellada, as documented in the import.

The Cabernet grapes undergo destemming and 15 days of skin maceration, while the Xarel·lo and Parellada are gently direct-pressed. All three varieties are co-fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, then matured for six months in stainless steel (no oak) to preserve vibrancy.

The result is a red wine that delivers Cabernet’s backbone, but with the liveliness, saline touch and lighter body you’d expect from Penedès whites. Expect dark cherry and plum core, herbal undertones, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now or over the next 3-5 years.
