This whisky has, unusually, been distilled using peated malted barley. The GlenDronach ?peated? pays homage to the peat historically used to dry malted barley in the traditional floor maltings. Matured in bourbon casks followed by a second period of maturation in the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.

This superb richly Sherried single malt is matured in a combination of the finest Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry casks. Nonchill filtered and bottled at 43%abv, the GlenDronach 12 years old original is a sweet, creamy dram.

Golden with red hues. Spice and fruit notes mingle with an underlying sweet nose. Strong spice at the start developing into lush red berries and grapes, with drying tannin effect at the end. Dry Finish dominated by wood and spice.

Yellow with golden highlights. Vibrant with notes of melon, figs, toffee and lemon. A balanced mix of dry fruits, citrus, vanilla, spice and cloves. Long finish with sweetness in harmony with dry tannins from the woods.

Rich, deep, golden mahogany. Intense and firm. Well structured with silky smooth malty tones; a hint of Oloroso sherry lingers in the background. It shows great finesse, extolling fragrances of orange, marmalade and spiced notes. Good attack on the mouth, more elegance than muscle. The aged Matusalem, Apostoles & Amoroso Oloroso butts smooth its rich, fleshy body with great harmony.

The expression offers sumptuous notes of dark fruits, rich chocolate and manuka honey with an enveloping, memorable finish worthy of this monumental malt?s history. This luxuriously sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and natural in colour.
