Chateau Ad Francos Bordeaux Rouge 2016

94 POINTS: Wine Direct Tasting Team
"Medium ruby/plum-colored, the 2016 Chteau Ad Francos offers a classic, balanced, medium-bodied profile to go with notes of black cherries, balsam, and graphite. It picks up slightly more spice and floral notes with time in the glass and offers good acidity as well as a clean finish. In short, it's a well-made, thoroughly enjoyable Bordeaux to drink over the coming 5-6 years."
- Jeb Dunnuck
The origins of Chteau Ad Francos date back to the time of the Frankish people, who settled in the Bordeaux region more than 1,400 years ago. The estate takes its name from a local hill known as Ad Francos — meaning “home of the Franks". That’s quite a heritage for a bottle of Bordeaux!
Made from a classic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from the limestone clay slopes of Bordeaux's Côtes de Francs appellation, this is traditional Right Bank Bordeaux with plenty of character.
