Stackable, black 'food grade' plastic. 4x clips on lid. Lid forms a good, solid seal on the top of the box. Waterproof. Much better performing for overland/camping use than general purpose storage boxes available from hardware stores. The formed lid is very strong and features a pattern that matches the base, so that when stacked these boxes interlock/nest securely.
