Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 'Thompson Bros' 2016 / 8 years old 57.1%

This release from Thompson Bros in Dornoch is an example of a teaspooned whisky. The main component for this dram has been sourced from a Single Estate distillery in Speyside. On the nose there is an abundance of fruitiness, pineapples, apricots, raspberries and peach cordial with elderflower tonic. The palate opens up with rich tablet fudge, warm straw and more apricots, followed by white grapes, milk chocolate, sunflower and more fruits lingering on the finish.
