Glenlivet's 18 year old single malt is crafted by combining several different cask types to produce a rich and complex dram. American and European Oak, first and second fill, all play their parts. First-fill American Oak adds tropical fruitiness whilst the European Oak imparts spicy hints and brings additional complexity.
