Hazelburn 'Sherry Wood' 8 years old 48.2%

Unpeated, triple distilled and produced at the Springbank, this is the latest release of the distillery's famous Hazelburn spirit. This is the latest in their Sherry Cask Series, and has spent 8 years maturing in a parcel of ex-oloroso sherry casks.

The nose opens up with notes of sweet cinnamon with dustings of cocoa powder, followed on by cranberries and tart currants. Dense summer berry notes continue on the palate, alongside hints of strawberry fruit bursts, sticky toffee pudding and brambles. On the finish, a drying salty and nutty quality of mixed nuts.
