Ballindalloch '2017 Vintage Release for New Zealand & Japan' 50%

Chosen by Ballindalloch's founder Guy Macpherson-Grant in conjunction with Whisky Galore and the distillery's importer in Japan, this 2017 vintage release is the first-ever bottling of Ballindalloch for New Zealand. Created from a combination of an ex-bourbon barrel and an ex-sherry cask, it opens with an aroma of apple tart and preserved lime peel, moving to more honeyed tones and sweet pears in syrup. On the palate, it is buttery and rich, with a yeasty tang of home made bread and a hint of cinnamon dusted doughnuts.
