Distilled at the famous Benriach distillery in Speyside in 1994, this single ex-PX sherry cask was produced with spirit made from heavily peated barley. With peated barley rarely in use in the region, Benriach's whiskies from this era show a distinctive and characterful mellow smokyness that has a herbal tone throughout. Dense with fruit, tobacco and fragrant smoke, this is a great example of this rarer Speyside style.
