Springbank '1998 Vintage' 48.3%

An exceptionally rare vintage based release from Springbank, this small batch outturn was distilled in 1998 and matured fully in ex-sherry casks.

There is a delightfully rich quality to the nose, with notes of medjool dates, brambles, white chocolate and caramel sauce. The palate opens up with distinct earthiness, folllowed by sweet notes of buttery shortbread, brandy butter and sweet woody cloves developing over time. Hints of varnished oak carry on through the finish, rounded off with sweet spiced notes of crystalised ginger and nutmeg.
