This undisclosed single malt from Cadenhead's 'Enigma' range has been matured for 16 years in an ex-Manzanilla sherry cask. The nose opens with red cola, sandalwood and notes of old dunnage floor warehouses or a damp cellar. To taste, a burst of bacon crisps, chorizo and salted caramel popcorn. To finish, dark chocolate, tangerines and a mineral quality like pebbles on the beach.
