This bottling by Thompson Bros is an example of Bourbon casked Blair Athol. Distilled in 2010, the spirit has spent fourteen years maturing in a First Fill Bourbon Barrel. The nose opens up with aromas reminiscent of a warm meadow on a spring day, alongside seville oranges, spun sugar and candy floss, with hints of toasted wood and dessicated coconut. On the palate there notes of Apple pie, flapjacks, stone fruits and roasted almonds. Sweet spice and coconut lingers on the finish.
